The 1814 Pulpit

After being absent from First (Scots) for 19 years, the Jenkins Memorial pulpit which dates to 1814 was returned to First (Scots) in 1964, 61 years ago. The hand carved piece of wood was on loan to the Cosgrove Ave. Presbyterian Church and then stored in a garage. It is now located in the Lilly Chapel and painted white. Take a peek in the Lilly Chapel to view this 212-year-old pulpit, one of a few pieces of First (Scots) furniture which survived hurricanes, fire and tornadoes.
